I’m sorry to tell you, but it appears I was a little too ambitious thinking I could be back on my regular publishing schedule this week. My day job is still insane and I’m so burnt out I’m crispy. So I’m afraid this hiatus will have to continue until August.
In the meantime, here’s a quick roundup of a few of my favorite posts. If you missed these before, or if you forgot about them (I do that all the time), here’s a chance to catch up or remember them.
Possibly the best thing I’ve ever written: How Not to Gaslight Autistic Kids
The Dreaded Meltdown, explained, as well as my personal Breakdown of a Meltdown.
A little rant On Being Semi-Verbal.
A couple of pieces from this spring’s Autistic Joy series – Healthy Autistic Sex Lives and The Beauty of a World Without Boxes.
An exploration of Autistic people as Changelings.
And last but not least, help for parents in Teaching Autistic Kids to Advocate for Themselves.
Thanks for hanging with me, and I will be back in August for certain!
