Today is Thanksgiving here in the States, so I wanted to take a minute to let all my readers know how grateful I am for every one of you.
This blog was born out of 35 years of struggles and self-loathing and the desire to help spare others that pain. I hope that’s what I’m doing, whether by explaining the autistic experience, helping parents better understand their autistic kids, or helping other autistic adults find ways to get by in this world that isn’t made for us.
I really feel this is my calling, and I hope to be able to make it my vocation as well. Each and every one of you is part of that, whether you share my posts, engage in conversation in the comments, or just read and lurk. (I’m a lurker almost everywhere, myself, I get it.)
So whether you’re celebrating Thanksgiving yourself today or just going about your normal life because it’s a normal day where you are, know that I’m counting my blessings and you – yes, YOU – are among them.
